The best way to get a spray-on tan is to visit a salon & to get sprayed by a skilled technician. However, make sure they are using our SIMPLY BRONZE Tanning Spray Solution in their spray system.

Get someone else to spray you

• Have a 'girls night in' & give each other a spray tan.
• Get MUM (or DAD?) to spray you.
• Ask your partner to do it!!

Even if you cannot get someone to help, our 200ml SIMPLY BRONZE Tanning Sprays are specifically designed for 'multidirectional' use, which means you can apply the tanning spray even upside down & on those 'difficult to get to' parts of the body.

Exfoliate the skin before applying the Tanning Solution

Tanning experts tell us that tan development is much more effective & long lasting if you can exfoliate the skin (i.e. clear away dead cells) before applying the spray tan. We are not going to argue with them, but this simply means showering & towelling off a couple of hours before tanning.

Clear your 'tanning space'

Allow yourself sufficient space to apply the tan. Remember there will always be some small amount of the tanning spray that will miss the skin & fall to the floor, so it is always advisable to lay down 2 or 3 large towels to catch this overspray. If you use white towels don't worry as any colours we use in our tanning sprays are water soluble & will wash out.

How to ensure an even 'no streak' tan

The tanning of the skin will be even & 'no streak' as long as the application to the skin is spread evenly. SIMPLY BRONZE uses Swiss spray technology to ensure the tanning solution is broken into very minute particles & this replicates the fine mist spray in a salon 'airbrush' spray system. This ensures an even application of the tanning solution to the body, but to be absolutely sure, we recommend that after spraying each part of the body, you lightly massage the tanning solution into the skin using long sweeps of the hand.

N.B. The tanning active, DHA, works on every part of your body, so if you do lightly massage the spray into the skin, there is a risk that the tan will also develop on your hands and you will have brown fingers the next day. To avoid this either use a pair of thin vinyl gloves & discard after use, or wash your hands thoroughly after rubbing down. If you use this latter method, you will need to lightly spray the backs of the hands with tanning spray after washing & gently massage together the backs of the hands to ensure an even tan development. This will then guarantee you have a complete 'all over' even golden tan in 4 to 6 hours, even on the backs of your hands.

After Application

The DHA needs 4 to 6 hours on the skin to develop the tan, so during this period do not shower or wash.

If you have used SIMPLY BRONZE 200ml Tanning Spray with Instant Bronzer, the bronzing colour dries in a matter of minutes. There will be little risk of discolouration to clothes & bed sheets. Don't worry as the colours we use are readily soluble in water & will come out in the wash.

How to use SIMPLY BRONZE to adjust the shade of tan development.

SIMPLY BRONZE 200ml Tanning Spray has 8% DHA content, which is comparable to a salon product. The tan will last 5 to 7 days. If you want to build a darker tan, apply SMPLY BRONZE more frequently & if you want a lighter tan then use SIMPLY BRONZE less frequently. As a general rule we suggest the following spray frequency:-
